Egyptian players are concerned about the flood of lasers against Senegal

LE SCAN SPORT – During the World Cup playoff match between Senegal and Egypt, a number of lasers were projected from the stands. Especially during a penalty shootout, which slowed down the first shooters.

Sadio Mané-Mo Salah, third act. On Tuesday night, the two Liverpool stars faced each other for the third time in a few weeks with their countries. In the first match, Senegal won the penalties in the final final of the African Nations Cup. Then on Friday Saliou Ciss (4th) secured a victory for Egypt with his own goal (1: 0) in the first match of the World Championship 2022. The two teams faced each other again on Tuesday for a match return from these dams to the African zone. The first goal from Boulay Dia very early in this match (3rd) caused a draw for both teams. However, the show went a bit in the stands, where 50,000 spectators crowded the Abdoulaye-Wade stadium in the Dakar suburbs.

A number of lasers came from the stands to prevent the Egyptian players from stopping the game. Until then, it remains a matter of course. It just wasn’t a light or two, sparingly. Throughout the meeting and a fortiori dozens of lights illuminated – and blinded – the players of this match during the penalty shootout.

The phenomenon, which intensified in the penalty shootout, angered many shooters. The first four attempts failed. Ismaïla Sarr turned Senegal’s first shot into a goal, followed by Bemba Dieng and Sadio Mané. Only Amr El Solia succeeded in his attempt on the Egyptian side. According to several Internet users, lasers were already present during the first stage, which took place on Friday in Cairo. So it would be a “response” from Dakar spectators. Senegal qualified after a penalty shootout and will fly to Qatar in the fall.
