Red River Rivalry is heading for the biggest university softball scene.

Oklahoma a Texas are the last two teams to place in the Women’s College World Series 2022. Although the schools are routinely connected, the two sides have entered the championship series in completely different ways.

The Sooners entered the year as defending champions and looked like a team ready to repeat. They broke their way to a 57: 3 record behind the historic Star Force. Redshirt senior Jocelyn Alo, a college softball player of the year in the United States in 2021, set an NCAA career homerune record during the season while achieving a staggering 0.509 average.

The Longhorns, meanwhile, have made history. They became the first non-deployed team to ever advance to the championship series and are in the finals for the first time in program history. The team also lagged 5-0 against Oklahoma State in a decisive match that determined who would play with Oklahoma before counting six unanswered raids to win a ticket to the championship series.
