This came after a Pune-based union filed a complaint against Infosys with the central labor ministry and sought to remove the non-compete clause from the offer letters from the country’s second-largest software company.

The company’s employee contract stated that the employee could not accept a job offer from “named competitors” such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro and HCL Technologies for six months if the new job involved working with a client with in which the employee works. has worked for Infosys for the past 12 months.

It also states that for six months they should not accept a job offer from a client they have worked with in the last 12 months while working for Infosys. Infosys identified five companies as “named competitors” under IT service staff contracts and nine companies under business process management staff contracts.
