Russia excluded from the last two stages of the world circuit

Russia’s women’s seven-year rugby team was eliminated from the two remaining sections of the world circuit after Russia was excluded from all international competitions, World Rugby said in a statement on Friday. After four tournaments, Russia placed third behind Australia and France.

Russia thus loses the last two stages of the women’s world circuit, in April Langford (Canada) and in May in Toulouse. The governing body of world rugby has decided to invite the teams of Japan and Mexico to Langford and the teams of Scotland and South Africa to Toulouse.
