StandardAero will buy EB air wings

StandardAero has signed a contract to purchase EB Airfoils, a provider of aircraft engine fan blades, compressor blades and blades in Palm City, Florida. EB Airfoils, which operates from two facilities covering almost 20,000 square meters and has 50 employees, is one of the few companies in the world to have received OEM source approval or a source presentation to repair and overhaul these turbine engine components.

The private company’s resource approval portfolio includes the Pratt & Whitney, GE Aviation, CFM International and International Aero Engines platforms. EB Airfoils is in the process of receiving additional approvals through resource presentations.

»EB Airfoils expands existing StandardAero airfoil capabilities at our facilities in Cork, Kansas City and Singapore to provide a wider range of hot and cold section air profiles with immediate growth for our capacity for repairing blades, blades and other cold section components portfolio, ”said Russell Ford, President and CEO of StandardAero. “This acquisition represents another strategic initiative to further expand our global portfolio of MRO services and component repairs.”
