The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has offered a number of opportunities for the likely team of the Indian T20 World Championships over the last two months. Ashwin was part of the T20 World Cup team last year after Washington Sundar was injured and played for the Indian team in the format since 2017, in a match against Scotland.
