The Bowling World Cup is heading to Queensland

Australia has been granted the rights to host this year’s World Cup in dozens of stamps, with the November event taking place in Queensland.

The renewed Tenpin World Bowling Championships will take place in November in South East Queensland.

Australia has been granted the rights to host the new International Bowling Federation World Cup, with Sunshine Coast and Brisbane being the main contenders for the event, which will be attended by more than 750 bowling players – including those taking part in the Para World Cup. 40 nations.

Jason Belmonte, the world’s top-ranked male bowler from Orange, NSW, as well as Victoria’s Bec Whiting, who won the women’s event at the last World Cup in tens of stamps in 2019, should appear in the field.

Tenpin Bowling Australia officials were pleased with the discussions with the Queensland government, with confirmation of the host city expected soon.

“To have a strong, world-renowned sport, we need to have a well-recognized world event that the best bowlers in the world at the highest level can take part,” said TBA President Jerome Joseph.

“The IBF World Cup and the IBF Para Bowling World Cup in Australia will really bring it.

“The announcement will also give the sport great recognition in this country, especially when we look at the 2032 Summer Olympics in (Brisbane).

The IBF World Cup, which will have a new, as yet unconfirmed format, will run from November 3 to 16, with the Para World Cup following November 16-23.

IBF President Sheikh Talal Mohammad Al-Sabah praised the TBA for “leading the way with many innovations and improvements to bring advanced sport to life in Australia.”

“The organization of the IBF World Cup … allows the TBA to build a complete track of athletes and a portfolio of events over many years,” he said.

“We are excited about the prospect of launching a new format in such a rugged sports fan country and an elite country as Australia.”
