In France, the Covid-19 epidemic continues for a month, on Tuesday, May 3rd. The average number of new pollutants per day over the last seven days is 48,907, which is less than the previous day (52,318) and less than last week (85,588). This decrease is part of an overall downward trend since peaking in early April, averaging around 140,000 cases per day.

The drop was also confirmed in hospital: 22,849 patients were sick with Covid on Tuesday (up from 23,211 days earlier and 24,703 last Tuesday), including 1,498 in critical care (1,511 days earlier, 1,667 last Tuesday).
123 positive people died last day. Thus, the total number of deaths in France since the beginning of the pandemic is 146,262.
