The Rugby World Cup has added Canon to the list of partnerships

World Rugby and Canon have announced a new partnership designating a photography specialist as a worldwide partner of the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Championships in New Zealand and the official imaging supplier for the 2023 Men’s Men’s Tournament in France.

Through the agreement, Canon will provide its suite of products and solutions to a global rugby organization. This includes the supply of cameras, lenses, video cameras, network cameras and medical equipment for the two tournaments.

Canon will also offer behind-the-scenes support to members of the media, covering the next two World Cups, including camera maintenance services and product loans.

The women’s competition agreement is Canon’s first specific agreement for the women’s game. Canon previously served as a sponsor of the last two men’s world championships in 2015 and 2019 and is now becoming the fourth Japanese brand to partner in the tournament in 2023.
