The sets of airships created in China are global

The airship developed in China has reached the highest record in atmospheric science observation in the world. The Jimu-1 floating airship, developed in China, has reached a world record of 9,032 meters in scientific observation.

Aircraft observations will provide key scientific data to study the chain of change from water, ecology to human activities in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau against the background of climate change. According to China Central Television, the airship rose from a height of 4,270 meters and reached 4,762 meters above the ground.

The scientific data collected by the airship will be used to study the regional water cycleand to monitor changes in atmospheric water vapor and components, the report said. According to the Tibetan Plateau Research Institute of the Chinese Academy, the surface of the airship is made of advanced composite fabric that can withstand temperatures as low as -70 ° C. Sciences, Xinhua news agency reported.

The aircraft may have a number of scientific instruments that allow scientists to collect atmospheric data and study the process of transferring moisture, and to monitor changes in black carbon, dust, methane, carbon dioxide and other substances at high altitudes, Xinhua said.

Named the “Third Pole” and the “Asian Water Tower,” the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau supplies water to many Asian rivers, including the Yangtze, Yellow, Ind, and Mekong. China launched the expedition in 2017. in June, 40 years after the first research trip of Chinese scientists to the plateau. Research is expected to last between five and 10 years, with a focus on glaciers, biodiversity, ecological change and climate change.
