The VivaTech show starts on Wednesday in Paris

The VivaTech exhibition, a major French digital event, starts on Wednesday in Paris, during four days of discussions about the latest innovations in a sector such as the metaverse.

In 2020, it was canceled due to a pandemic, and the year 2021 took place in a hybrid format with physical separation restrictions (maximum 5,000 people at a time). A total of 140,000 people participated, of which 26,000 were face to face.

In its sixth edition, VivaTech will once again offer a website with access to all online conferences and virtual stands.

Among the VivaTech headliners will welcome Changpeng Zha, the head of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange platform, Ryan Roslansky, head of the LinkedIn social network, as well as several CAC40 technology giant leaders (LVMH, Renault, Orange, Bouygues …) and representatives of major French startups.

Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire is going there on Wednesday to meet with actors of “French technology”.

Topics highlighted in the 2022 edition include a major metaverse and “web3”, new concepts that shake the world of technology.

The central topics will also be the environment and the challenge of decarbonisation, with several innovations such as Bioo (Spain, a natural organic decomposition plant converted into an energy source) or Pentaform (UK, a recycled plastic computer with reduced electricity). consumption).

Tesla, which will present the first model from its “Gigafactory” in Berlin, or Robert Miller, one of the “Hyperloop” leaders, will appear in the “mobility” department for the first time. TT ”, another project of Tesla boss Elon Musek in this sector (pressure capsules circulating at a very high speed in tubes).
