The World Bank presented its proposals for the development of digital health in Azerbaijan – AZERTAC

Within the framework of cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank Group (WB), a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the delegation led by Ahmed Levent Jener, Head of the WB People’s Development Practice Program Group for the South Caucasus. .

Welcoming the guests, the Minister of Health Teimurs Musajevs noted that the improvement of the health care system is a priority issue for our country, AZERTAC stated in the press service of the ministry. According to him, co-operation with the World Bank in various fields is especially important in terms of applying international good practices. Against this background, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with the World Bank in this area.

Afterwards, the representatives of the World Bank presented their proposals for the development of digital health in our country within the project “Assessment of the Digital Health Ecosystem of Azerbaijan: Development of the National Health Information Strategy of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026”.

During the friendly and business-like meeting, the parties also discussed the implementation of a project on technical assistance in the development of an e-health strategy in Azerbaijan.
