SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Bass Pro World Fishing Show is scheduled for March 30, 2022, April 3, 202 in Springfield, Campbell Avenue and Sunshine Street.

The city of Springfield expects 500,000 people to attend.

There will be hundreds of exhibits, daily workshops with the best anglers, activities for children and concerts with popular country performers such as Luke Brian and Djerks Bentley.

There will also be some road closures and traffic jams in the Campbell and Sunshine area. Here are some things you need to know whether you attend a fair or not.

Roads closed due to world fishing fair

Campbell Avenue between Cherokee and Sunshine Streets will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th. Campbell will return to work until midnight on Sunday, April 3.

City officials said people who do not attend the event should avoid the Bass Pro area and look for other ways to get where they need to go.

How traffic will be affected

No passage is allowed in the residential areas around Bass Pro during the World Fishing Fair. This is to ensure that people living in the area can get home and, if necessary, leave space for emergency vehicles.

Residents have parking lot identification signs and anyone who is without it in the surrounding area will be pulled away. Anyone who thinks their vehicle is towed can call Henry’s Towing at 417882-4559.

Parking for the event

Parking is not allowed at the event. Visitors to the World Fishing Fair can park in one of the Springfield satellite car parks.

Bass Pro provides a free shuttle service to and from these car parks. The city has posted a list of parking spaces on its website.

Anyone who misses the event can access the disembarkation site via East Cherokee Street from Jefferson Avenue.
