Youri Tielemans: Arsenal’s interest in the Belgian midfielder is cooling, so a one-year extension to Leicester is more likely | Football news

Arsenal has cooled its interest in Youri Tielemans, making the Belgian midfielder more likely to sign a one-year contract with Leicester.

Arsenal have long admired Tielemans, who has only one year left with a Leicester contract, but as Gunners agreed on a £ 34 million deal with Porto midfielder Fabio Vieiro on Friday, interest waned.

Arsenal is expected to sign only one midfielder in this window and prefers Vieira.

Leicester does not want to lose Tielemans for free next summer and has always been convinced that if no deal suits the club or the midfielder, he will commit to King Power Stadium next year.

Sky Sports News it was said that communication and understanding between Leicester and Tielemans remained constant and cordial, with a great deal of mutual respect.

There is still a long way to go in the summer window, but Tielemans remains in the table in Leicester.
